Before and After

Incredible results and inspiring journeys; see some of our patients' before and after photos next time you visit our practice.

Cleft Lip and Palate, Skeletal Severe Class III (Lower jaw longer than upper jaw), Missing teeth and generalized Cross-Bite

beforeBefore
afterAfter

This patient had multiple issues that were quite severe requiring surgery and implants. He initially was born with a hole in his lip and roof of his mouth that required surgeries to repair. He had these taken care of long before we saw him in our office. It is common for this type of case to have missing permanent teeth and a narrow upper arch which contributes to the teeth being in crossbite (Upper teeth inside the lower teeth). Alignment of the teeth and space for any missing teeth needed to be created before the oral surgery procedures could begin. He is happy with the result that was given!

Deep Bite (Lower Front Teeth Bite into Palate), Severe Crowding and Full Class II Malocclusion

beforeBefore
afterAfter

This young man had some very difficult orthodontic problems. His lower front teeth were touching his upper palate. He had severe crowding in both upper and lower arches and his lower jaw was in full Class II Occlusion (his lower jaw was back too far for a proper bite). This difficult case was completed with the use of SureSmile, a Forsus Appliance (to bring the lower jaw forward) and finished to the proper bite with the use of rubber bands.

Severe Upper Front Teeth Crowding and Rotations with Moderate Lower Crowding

beforeBefore
afterAfter

This 12 year old patient needed early intervention before all of his permanent teeth were erupted. He started out with an appliance called an RME (Rapid Maxillary Expander) to widen his upper arch because his upper front teeth were behind his lowers. Braces on the 4 upper front teeth were added (after the removal of the appliance) to get them straight. After the rest of his permanent teeth came in, the rest of the braces were added (about 2 years later). Once braces were on upper and lower teeth, it took only 20 months to complete.

Severe Overjet (Lower jaw back too far and Flared front teeth)

beforeBefore
AfterAfter

This patient had a significant amount of Overjet, her lower jaw was back too far and the Upper front teeth were flared out.  Using SureSmile, a full set of braces and rubber bands to correct the position of the jaw, she had an amazing result!  She was in braces only 16 months.
