The first visit to our office will be a chance for us to get acquainted and to answer some of your orthodontic questions. Dr. O'Leary will give you or your child an Initial Exam which will determine the course of treatment needed. If you are ready to proceed with treatment it is possible that diagnostic records, consisting of x-rays, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and impressions for study models could be taken at this time. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for the patient.
After the doctor has evaluated your records, we will discuss your treatment plan with you in detail, including the fees for your particular case.

The appointment to receive your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes from one to two hours. You will then see us at regular intervals of 6 to 8 weeks for an adjustment, which takes 20 to 40 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. Our regular office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for specially arranged appointments and SureSmile® scans. We know that your time is valuable and we make every effort to be on time for our patients. We ask our patients to be on time for their appointments, which helps us stay on schedule and reduces your appointment time. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency since rescheduled and missed appointments can lengthen your treatment time.
Orthodontic treatment is an excellent investment in the overall dental, medical, and psychological well-being of children and adults. We realize that families and individuals have different needs in fulfilling their financial obligations; therefore we offer several different payment options.
Our office accepts most insurance plans. We ask that you bring all of the insurance information we will need to help you determine your benefits to your first appointment. Our staff is happy to handle the filing of all insurance forms for you.
Payment plans may be arranged often involving a down payment and monthly payments over the remaining treatment time. We also offer a discount if payment is made in full at the onset of treatment.
For your convenience we offer VISA, MC, and DISCOVER. We can also arrange for automatic withdrawal for your convenience. We have third party resources available through Capital One which will allow for no down payment and a longer payment schedule.
In situations of past due accounts, the orthodontic treatment could be placed in a holding pattern until the account is brought current and in the event of serious delinquency, treatment may be discontinued. We will make every effort to accommodate our patients with temporary difficulties.
The fees for orthodontic treatment depend on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable for you and your family.
